Gloria Dodd, D.V.M. , graduate of the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine at Davis in 1960; private practitioner; pioneer in holistic veterinary medicine (the use of natural alternative therapies of acupuncture, chiropractic, natural nutrition, homeopathy, and magnetic field therapy); studied with medical naturopaths in Germany, South America and the U. S.; cofounder of the California Holistic Veterinary Medical Association 1981, member of CVMA since 1960, appointed Co-Chairperson for the Committee of Alternative Medicine on the Board of Governors CVMA ; international lecturer, teacher, and published in Prevention Magazine, California Veterinarian, American Journal of Acupuncture, Ultra Molecular Medicine and other journals. Nominated for OUTSTANDING WOMAN VETERINARIAN OF 1986 by the Association for Women Veterinarians, awarded one of CALIFORNIA SUPER.VETS FOR 2009 by the National Friends of Animals Chamber of Commerce.

PURPOSE AND HISTORY

In 1975, I turned from 15 years of practicing orthodox veterinary medicine and began the study and practice of natural healing therapies. I was amazed at how much more I could do with the natural non-invasive methods I had learned. I have seen a growing interest in natural health for pets by their owners and know how difficult it is to find animal health products of tried and true merits of high quality. My products I offer have been used in my own practice successfully since 1975. In 1986 I began selling them in a mail order catalogue. Today I am offering them on the Internet.

I am now retired from active practice, with my main time and energies devoted to this website and my mission. However, I do limited pet owner consultations and give guidance on the use of all my animal health products. For local holistic veterinarians I refer you to my link for the AHVMA Directory.
